Test shoots at the studio

Emerging photographer David Paul Vail has become a regular at the studio with his personal Sitter Series, where he photographs new faces and models to actors and musicians from London and around the world.

We’ve seen Sonny McCartney at the studio a lot over the last couple of years, starting with his digital operator work with other photographers and now to shooting his own work, such as the latest in our White Studio for Noctis Magazine.

Stormzy’s Album Launch party for Gang, Signs & Prayer

On the 24th February we had the pleasure of holding Stormzy’s Album Launch party for Gang, Signs & Prayer.  He was mainly here to relax and party after a day of secret gigs across London but took the time to entertain his friends at the end of the night!

In April 2016 we hosted Fashtech, a summit of curated discussion which accelerates innovation at the intersection of fashion and technology. Our background as a location for high-end fashion film and photography made is a highly fitting choice for the setting.

As well as hosting the event, our in-house production team undertook full design and production. Using all of the studios and made great use of our varying spaces.

The venue was transformed with bespoke wood chip fittings, rustic furniture and ambient lighting ans each space was dressed to its own identity and function.

The event was a huge success, footage here show’s highlights of the talks and speakers, as well as showing our production design values.

The gorgeous couple Geoffrey & Frederic very much stole our hearts this July with their wedding at Studio Spaces.

Geoffrey and Frederic’s guests came from all across the globe and from the moment they arrived via red double decker bus the atmosphere was electric. When Frederic first viewed the venue he was particularly excited by our Black Studio and his vision was for it to become a contemporary party space. To help realise this, he called upon the services of our in-house design team who were delighted to assist. The huge white photography cove was brought to life with colour wash lighting and visual details in the form of a hanging flower installation from florist Penelope Mercer. Modern white stretch poseur tables were added, at which guests enjoyed the blueberry mojito’s as they were welcomed to the event.

Following drinks, proceedings moved into the White Studio which was a true visual delight. Long tables were adorned with an abundance of rustic blue flowers and furnished with stylish perspex chairs which were set against the studio’s clean modern architecture. Natural light streamed in and colour accents were given from the soft pink uplighting. The dinner of traditional Caribbean cuisine was enjoyed by all, and following which proceedings returned to the Black Studio for the much awaited first dance.

With the DJ set on the built in concrete stage and the photography cove transformed into the most fabulous dance floor, The Black Studio really did become the super cool late night party we had envisioned and dancing went on until the small hours before carriages home.

This very special day and night really was something very memorable, well done Geoffrey and Fred! We are honoured to have become a popular destination for gay weddings and think that perhaps our venues forward thinking outlook is appealing.
